Visiting Boston
TRANSPORTATION
Plan on using public transit and rideshare services to get around. The venue is served by several buses from Forest Hills Station on the MBTA's Orange Line, and is a 5-minute walk from the Roslindale Village stop on the MBTA Commuter Rail's Needham Line. (Note that the commuter rail will stop running during the event - it can get you there but it cannot get you home.)
ACCOMMODATION
Many of our out-of-town guests intend to make vacations of their trips to Boston, so we don't anticipate setting up a hotel block - it is hard to predict everybody's needs for their stay. Boston has many affordable hotel options this time of year if you want to spend time downtown - we recommend staying near Copley Square in particular. For easy access to the venue, we recommend seeking vacation rentals (e.g., AirBnBs) in the Roslindale, Jamaica Plain, or West Roxbury neighborhoods of Boston.
WEATHER
January is usually cold and damp in Boston. You should expect the temperature to hover around freezing, but substantially lower temperatures are possible, especially at night. Please pack accordingly.
